Golden Chopsticks Restaurant

We almost always drop by for salted pepper crispy chickens, good thing they opened this new branch that’s much closer to OC than the one further south. We were able to get a table after a short wait and the food came out quick and the quality is still the same as the original branch.

The first time I went here it wasn’t very good, and they weren’t very good at explaining their “specials” and when they were applicable. Anyway, yesterday I went to sushi next door with my boyfriend. We spend a lot of money there for barely any food. It was disappointing. I decided to go to golden chopsticks and take out something actually filling. And let me tell you the only thing you EVER need to order here is the salt and pepper chicken with a side of rice. Hits Every. Single. Time. Delicious! Also not a fan of their fried rice so I’d stick with the plain rice if I were you. Also the egg drop soup is pretty good too. Thank you!!

For Father’s Day, we went to one of my dad’s favorite restaurants, and it was so worth it! He ordered the Salt and Pepper Spicy Pork Chop (don’t worry, it’s not actually spicy), Beef Broccoli, House Chow Mein, and of course, hot pot! (I’m not sure where it is on the menu, but you’ll see it in the photo ). I had the passion iced tea while my dad enjoyed Thai tea. Every dish was delicious! As with most Chinese restaurants, the flavors are a bit sweet and salty, so make sure to drink plenty of water. It’s perfect for a good family lunch. The server was friendly, and although the place isn’t very big, it was full of customers—which says a lot about how good the food is. Definitely worth a try.
